Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and performing on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment.
- Performs troubleshooting, carries out power cycles, removes failed components, and handles storage media.
- Undertakes installations of hardware rack/stack, testing, cable installations, and resolves issues using standard processes of data centers.
- Helping with moving and racking equipment.
Assess, identify, and resolve cabling infrastructure systems and carry out repairs when needed. - Install servers and switches in a data center. should install and support wireless access points, IP Phones, power strips, and server cabs, among others.
- Fix any device belonging to the data centers that need physical connectivity.
- Update port maps and rack layouts.
- Create operational procedures.
- Provide technical support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Datacenter technician or other customer support role.
- Diploma or a high school degree in computer science, or a similar field.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- At least 4 years of experience as a technician.
