Senior Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in assessment, qualification, competitive positioning and pricing, developing response strategy, proposal development, follow-up till opportunity closes.
  • Execute the Company's purchases per the procurement policy and procedures to ensure the best benefit and smooth working flow.
  • Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select the best source consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as required.
  • Act as a link between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement-related problems.
  • Authorize payment for purchases by reviewing invoices and related documentation.
  • Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintain appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that suppliers are aware of their performance.
  • Maintain services and office equipment by talking with suppliers; monitoring and recording service agreements to ensure terms are met.
  • Assist internal and external customers by interpreting laws, policies, codes, and regulations related to purchasing; answer inquiries both orally and in writing concerning purchasing operations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other job-related tasks as needed; enabling other workers to achieve their job objectives.
  • Interview vendors and visit suppliers' plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices.
  • Negotiating prices, quantities, and delivery timescales.

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Sc. in Commerce or equivalent
  • Experience: 3-5 years
  • Skills: Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and process a high volume of transactions with proficiency, accuracy, and integrity
  • Must to have knowledge regarding markets, products, technologies, and organizations, that a business owns or needs to own and which enable its business processes to generate profits
  • Developing value added supplier relationships and practices.
