BARQ Systems Presents “Triple Play” Solution

A solution which will be mainly using traditional telephone lines utilizing the ADSL technology that is already running in Egypt serving many homes and business.
Mahmoud Soliman, President and CEO of BARQ Systems, said that triple play systems are now available in the market on a wider scale, especially after data, voice, and video convergence is becoming more of a reality.

He also added that applying the Triple Play system through a single regular telephone line, will provide consumers with multiple services of high speed internet connection, Live TV channels, on demand video library, and up to eight telephone lines. This whole package can be utilized in any typical living room, which demonstrates the ease of use and the friendliness of such system to the home user.
“BARQ Systems will be showing how IP-TV (that is TV running over IP), Video-on-Demand, Pay-Per-View, Shifted Viewing and Interactive TV, as well as VoIP (that is Voice over IP), are all running on the same medium over the high speed Internet.” added Soliman.

Soliman also noted that the Triple Play live demo is powered by Zhone Technologies, a world leader in DSL, Broadband and Triple-Play solutions.
“BARQ Systems sales team will also show how telephony can be integrated in a very innovative way. Not only basic transport of the voice call over IP, but the interaction of the telephone line with the TV and PC.” said Soliman.

“You can use your TV remote control or you keyboard to answer a call, ignore it, or divert it to another line. This big achievement was developed by BARQ’s Research and Development department in Egypt,” he added.
Soliman explained that Triple Play solutions offers great flexibility in service offerings to the customer and is a definite revenue generator for content owners and Service Providers. “Triple Play solutions can run over telephone lines/traditional copper lines, Ethernet Networks, Fiber optics and Wireless Networks such as WiFi, WiMax, and all Mobile Technologies (GSM, CDMW…etc)” he said.

BARQ Systems will also present on the stand a variety of BARQ System’s offerings in terms of innovative Network Technology Solutions from Various Vendors like, Juniper, Foundry, Lucent, Tandberg, and Nomadix; demonstrating IPV6, MPLS, VPLS, 10G Ethernet, Network Security and Intrusion Prevention Systems as well as WiFi.
