BARQ Systems Wins Al-Fozan HQ Building Contract

BARQ Systems was awarded a contract to supply, install, operate and maintain the 10X network cabling and electronics infrastructure equipment for the new Head Quarters Building of Al-Fozan Systems in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

The new building is compromised of 10 stories and composed of 2 wings. The cabling will be based on the new 10X Systimax Structured Cabling System. There are 2000 outlets covering both Voice and Data and any future application. This is the first 10X installation in the Middle East; and is the new standard of 10Gbps over copper; a ten times advancement over the latest CAT 6 cabling systems. All risers cabling are based on the Laser Speed fiber from Systimax as well. Systimax Solutions is the world leader by far and is the de-facto standard for many large multinationals and mission-critical applications.

As a complete converged system; BARQ Systems will also supply Cisco complete Core-to-edge network with Power-Over-Ethernet for the future deployment of IP-Telephony system in the building. The solution was designed by BARQ Systems and is based on Cisco 6509 core switch and the 3560 POE family for the Edge. In addition the building is completely covered by wireless network (WiFi) using the Cisco AeroNet solution. Cisco Systems is the world’s leading networking equipment maker.
